Jerry Beute Designs Redesign
This is the new and improved version of Jerry Beute Designs. I pretty much rewrote the entire structure of the web site from scratch, and came up with a new design that better accentuates what Jerry Beute Designs does: custom concrete design.
Visitors using modern browsers get the best experience, as the new design leverages some nice CSS3 and HTML5 features such as border-radius and box-shadow.
New Header
This is the new header for the website. Jerry's logo was made more prominent, and a short blurb about his company now graces every page.
New Footer
Every page also sports a new easier-to-read footer, as well as a nifty hardrule image obtained from Smashing Magazine.
Home page with Cycle Gallery
One of the best improvements, in my opinion, was the addition of the image gallery for the home page. Each cycle shows an sample of the type of product and a short summary, as well as a link to that specific section in the Product Gallery.
The home page also has a slightly revamped artist bio, letting the world know who Jerry Beute is...
Design Options
Jerry can use a variety of aggregates and additives in the custom concrete he produces, and it can be pigmented to a spectrum of colors. This page displays a more concise sampling of the options available than the original site.
New Product Gallery
The Product Gallery is simply a demonstration page for previous projects Jerry has worked on, and it is meant to give new or returning customers inspiration for their own custom concrete projects. The page is separated into sections by the type of project.
Product Gallery, Fancybox Activated
The Product Gallery, on page load, features scaled-down copies of each product image. Clicking on an image triggers the lovely Fancybox plugin, which displays a larger version of the image, scaling it as needed to fit the visitor's viewport.
